Feeding your baby is an important time for nourishment and nurturing.  When feeding is going well it can be a beautiful time of bonding, however, when there are feeding challenges it can lead to stress, anxiety and worry.

When you visit THE WOMB’S Infant Feeding Clinic* you will be seen by an International Board Certified Lacation Consultant in a nurturing and encouraging environment.  Our priority is to empower parents through education and practical hands-on support with your breastfeeding, chest feeding and bottle feeding journeys. As you relax in our comfortable, “home-like” chairs and couch, you and your baby will receive a thorough assessment, practical guidance and educational support.

*Assessments can also be done virtually or in the comfort of your home. Post-visit follow-up phone, email and text support are included.

Pregnancy: Many people opt to start their relationship with their lactation and feeding specialist even before their baby is born. This approach offers you the opportunity to create a breast feeding plan and learn about the ins and outs of feeding before your baby arrives. When your newborn arrives, we then confidently put the plan into action and make adjustments as needed as you progress along your feeding journey.

Parenting and Postpartum: The first few hours after birth are so important to both you and your baby. Your body is healing and shifting to post-partum, and your newborn is experiencing the world – including feeding. We’re able to proactively assist you with understanding your baby’s needs and establishing feeding strategies within the first few hours of your baby’s life.

At THE WOMB, our Infant Feeding Specialists are here to support and assist you through any difficulties you may encounter with breastfeeding or alternative feeding methods like bottles. We will help you understand the reasons behind your challenges, conduct a comprehensive examination of both your and your baby’s feeding anatomy, and provide practical guidance and continuous follow-up.
