Paediatric Physiotherapy
The WOMB’s Paediatric Physiotherapists treat infants, children and youth from newborn to 18 years of age with congenital, orthopedic and neurological conditions.
At The WOMB, we use a client and family centered approach to care, working with you to identify your child’s goals and to create an individualized treatment program. The physiotherapist will use a combination of hands-on treatment, home programming and exercise prescription through FUN and functional activities.
Areas of Practice can include:
- Baby Milestone Check-ups
- Torticollis (tight neck) and Plagiocephaly (flat head) or a preference for looking towards or using one side of their body
- Toe walking, in or out-toeing, “clumsy” walking pattern
- Developmental Delay
- Motor delay that may be associated with genetic or neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, hypotonia, or strength imbalances
- Children experiencing urinary incontinence (bladder leaks), bedwetting or constipation
